Bend Elementary School Stevie McKenzie 7th Grade Stevie is a dedicated 7th grade student and athlete. She swims, plays basketball, and volunteers to help around the school. Stevie comes to Homework Club on a regular basis in order to get extra help on assignments or to get ahead. She works passionately and diligently in all that she does. All of her classmates enjoy Stevie because she is friendly, considerate, and outgoing. Stevie is a pleasure to have in class and I look forward to her being in my class again next year as an 8th grader. Kirkwood School Jake Alexander 8th Grade Jake Alexander is an 8th grader at Kirkwood School and has been attending Kirkwood since kindergarten. In that time, he has been known as a well-rounded, smart and respectful young man. Jake always has positive interactions with staff members and adults at Kirkwood, as well as with peers and younger students. Jake is a bright young man who works diligently to accomplish his goals. He loves to tackle challenges and tries to look at obstacles from a variety of angles. She will be attending CSU Chico in the fall and plans on earning a degree in Nursing. Gilsa comes from a loving and caring family, and will be the first in her family to attend college. She has been on Honor Roll all four years of high school. She always pays attention in class and applies what is being taught better than others. Gilsa is very smart and is a hard worker. Aaron is in the 6th grade and has attended Manton School since Kindergarten. He is in Mr. Thomas's 4th-7th grade class at Manton School. Aaron enjoys sports and has played on the Manton Mustangs volleyball and basketball teams. Aaron has served on Manton School's Student Council and is currently president of the Student Council as well as being an Honor Role student for the last three years. She will then transfer to CSU Chico to obtain her teaching credential. In high school, Faith participated in school plays and spent 3 years in the Red Bluff High School drama program.
