The Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Com- merce will present Vot- ers Night Monday, Oct. 6 at the Veterans Memorial Hall at the corner of Oak and Jackson streets in Red Bluff. This is for the Red Bluff City Council, Tehama County Supervisor runoff and the city's Measure D, a quarter-cent sales tax in- crease initiative. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the forum will start at 7 p.m. Written questions from the audience may be submitted for the candi- dates to answer. Businessmeetand greet Join Rep. The Monster Truck Pa- rade is scheduled for 6 p.m. in downtown Red Bluff on Thursday. Awards dinner The 99th Annual Red Bluff-Tehama County Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner was packed. We had a tremendous evening at Carlino's Event Center at the Rolling Hills Casino. A great crowd was in attendance enjoying and celebrating many excel- lent businesses, organiza- tions and individuals. Business Spotlight Garcia's Corning Con- signment, 811 4th St. is owned and operated by Lisa and her husband, Leonard Garcia. Lisa is a member of the Corning Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She and her husband opened the store June 2013. For the month of Oc- tober, donations will be taken for the benefit of Kristi Radisch, a teacher at Centennial who is bat- tling breast cancer. There will be a bake sale Oct. 10. Donations are accepted during store hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Realtor Retiring Long-time Corning real estate broker Jean Eller has retired from the busi- ness. She started sell- ing real estate in Corn- ing in 1975 while husband Paul Eller was managing the Dudley & Petty Truck Stop on South Avenue. She started American Homes & Land Realty at 2022 So- lano St. in 1995. The realty has been a chamber mem- ber since 2004. Jean sold the business in 2006 and continued to work there on a part-time basis until now. The Corning Cham- ber of Commerce wishes Jean all the best in her re- tirement. Pumpkins need to be completed and ready for team pictures and judging on Monday, Oct. 27. Pumpkins will remain at your business location for your staff and custom- ers to enjoy. Final judging will oc- cur on Thursday, Oct. 30 for first, second and third place prizes, which include a pizza party for up to 20 people or donuts once-a- week for a month or movie passes for up to 10 people.
