Easter is a Hippity Hop Around the Corner, Downtown!
Whether you are looking to attend a service in a beautiful historic church for
Easter Sunday, have photos made with your children and the Easter Bunny or
want to watch your babies hunt for candy-filled Easter eggs, downtown is the
lace!
Easter Services at Historic Churches Downtown
Beautiful music and fellowship await at some of Fayetteville's oldest churches
located in the heart of the historic district. If you are looking for a service, there
are several options including Hay Street United Methodist Church at 320 Hay
Street, First Baptist Church at 201 Anderson Street, Evans Metropolitan A.M.E.
Zion Church at 301 North Cool Spring Street, First Presbyterian Church at 102
Ann Street, St. John's Episcopal Church at 302 Green Street and St. Ann Catholic
Church at 357 N Cool Spring Street. Of course, these are only a few examples
of the gorgeous churches downtown, active on Sundays and during the week.
Airborne and Special Operations Museum Easter Egg Scramble
For photos with the Easter Bunny and a fun Easter Egg hunt, try the Airborne and Special Operations Museum on
Saturday, April 19. In partnership with First Citizens Bank, the foundation will host the 5th annual Easter Egg
Scramble complete with options such as a pancake and sausage breakfast with the Easter Bunny in the Reflection
Garden. Tickets at $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger (children 2 and under are free).
Reservations are required and advance tickets may also be purchased in the Museum Gift Shop.
The Easter Egg hunt take place from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. for children 10 and under. The Easter Egg Scramble has
been divided into five age groups and two scrambles per age group. Children should bring their own basket.
Photos with the Easter Bunny, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., cost only $5 and will be available just minutes after they are
taken. For the deployed soldier, airman, sailor or marine photos can be emailed to you so you can send it on to any
loved ones. Cost for an electronic photo is an additional $10. Call 643-2778 for more information on all Museum
Foundation Easter events or to make reservations for the breakfast.
Hop in the Park
Epicenter Church will host Hop in the Park featuring a Skydiving Easter Bunny and "Peep" as well as an Easter
egg hunt with over 120,000 eggs. Food and drinks, live music, face painting, bounce houses and more will also
add to the fun of the night! The event will start at 6 p.m. in Festival Park. For more information, contact

And don't forget to fill those Easter baskets up with goodies found downtown. There quite a few shops where you can get everything you need for a smile on your
child's face on Easter morning from children's books to toys and décor from the baskets themselves. Oh, and spring wreaths and décor options are plentiful so look for
ways downtown to spruce up your house and lawn for a great season.
