The show hours are 9AM to 1PM and the tables will be packed with hand-crafted items by local vendors from the Brenda, Quartzsite and Salome areas. The Brenda Chefs will be barbequing their delicious hamburgers again this year. Have them with cheese and smoth- ered with sautéed onions if you like. The famous Brenda root beer floats will also be available for an enticing treat. Mark your calendar now for the Janu- ary 29, 2011 Craft Show at Brenda and the fabulous Quilt Show on February 19, 2011. We’d love to see you there. If you’d like more information about the show, contact Karen Bright at 928- 927-5041 Art Guild News Next meeting, Thurs. Dec. 2nd Our meeting was once again at Ron and Jo Stoltz’s house. We had 11 members and we were painting to- gether on the painting of the Camel Stop building for the Arizona Centen- nial of Quartzsite. Dome Rock Moun- tain is now done and looks fantastic. We collected more dues from mem- bers. We decided to purchase white plastic tablecloths for our upcoming ART SHOW in Jan 28-29. So be sure to mark that date so you can come see our 3rd annual QUARTZSITE ART GUILD SHOW. We will also be looking into purchas- ing easels to display our paintings at the show. Also we are going to hire an art teacher to come to a future meeting to teach us some new art techniques in painting. Tina Moore brought some ceramic Q’s that she made for us to paint a scene for Christmas ornaments to be auctioned to raise money for the Cen- tennial. D������� 1, 2010 Rotary’s Annual Christmas raffle underway Quartzsite Rotary’s 5th Annual Christmas Tree and Wreath raffle will be here soon. They’re asking for donations of a Christmas tree 18 to 48 inches tall, or a wreath 9 to 18 inches across, completely decorated in a theme of your choice depicting the Holiday season, your business or hobby interests. Please tightly secure all decorations and deliver to Town Hall now through December 11th. Please be sure to fill in a Donation card. Rotary members will be selling tickets at $5 each or 6 for $20. The winning tickets will be drawn the week of December 12th, 2010. ALL proceeds from this event are distributed in the community to help bring happiness to those less fortunate than we are. Rotary’s TV raffle tickets are $5 each or 6 for $20 and proceeds will support our Annual Scholarship Fund. These funds are awarded to a student who will be continuing their education after high school.
