Our first fundraiser last year was the Holiday dinner at our Christmas program. We thank all the local businesses that donated. If you didn't attend you missed an awesome show by our children and a pretty good ham dinner for only $5.00. Hope to see you this year. We had a bake sale at the post office and a car wash at the Shell station. Both were successful and some of the funds we earned were spent on an ice cream social for all the children and teachers at school. We also sell ice cream floats to the children on party day each month. And we sold candy grams for Valentine's Day. With the funds, we bought dry erase boards for class K-3 so each student could have one to start the year off. Another Desert Messenger RE F S! AD E purchase was our new pencil machine in the office at QES. We are also collecting box tops and Campbell soup labels. If you have any to donate please drop off at QES office. Open House at Quartzsite Elementary is Thurs Sept 12th at 5:30 in the gym. The public is welcome! PTA will have an information table and we invite everyone to stop by and meet the PTA board. Quartzsite Elementary student council will be serving hotdogs and other refreshments. We will also have the LA Paz Co 4-H supervisor and the Boy Scouts. We are always looking for new members to help with fundraisers and activities at the school so if you are interested please come to one of our meetings usually the 2nd Thursday at 3:30 in library. Or come by the school and leave your contact info at the office. Our goals for this school year are to purchase new soccer uniforms and hopefully football uniforms. Our school has a new music dept in the library and we are hoping to expand on that by purchasing a few more music CD's for the students. Beginning Oct 1st we will start our school wide food drive to help replenish food that the food bank needs for our community. This is just the beginning of our goals. Please support your local school. GO SCORPIONS!! Thank you. Here's the small print: Items for sale under $1000. Private Party Only. 1 per month.
