Central | J W Moon Mountain By Joanne Winer Reader's Oasis Bookstore owner Paul Winer used to do a lot of selling in the swap meets in Prescott Valley, and every weekend he would travel up Hwy 60 through Congress and up Yarnell Hill to get to Prescott. Most times when they were going up this way, they stopped in Yarnell at the little library on the main street in town, to stretch their legs and look for books on sale at the library, as they do many places they travel to. This little library helped Paul get some great books for his swap meet selling, and he always appreciated every little bit of help this gave him in those days of travelling back and forth, especially when the economy was bad. Paul has not been up to that area much since opening his first bookstore here in Quartzsite. Things got so busy here that he just didn't have time to go all that way just to buy more books, and the few times he went to Prescott, the library happened to be closed. When that huge wildfire went out of control and almost destroyed the town of Yarnell, everyone who heard about the fire and the deaths of the Granite Mountain Hot Shot crew were completely in shock at the devastation it all caused. 2014 SHOW & EVENT DATES
