T4 WHATS UP! March 19 - 25, 2023 REAL TV BY RAYE SMITH TV Media 'Blind' faith: A new group of singles lay it all on the line in their search for true love when the smash-hit reality se- ries "Love is Blind" returns Friday, March 24, to Netflix with its fourth season. In a daring format, a group of singles determined to find love based on who they are, rather than what they look like, take on a dating gauntlet with the goal of finding some- one to marry — without ever seeing what they look like through the process. To start off, the contestants are re- moved from all potential dis- tractions from the outside world, as they go on dates with each other by meeting in pods (a format that was appropri- ately pandemic-friendly when the show debuted in 2020), speaking through walls and never meeting face-to-face un- til they accept a marriage pro- posal in the pods. Once they've found their (hopefully) perfect match, the newly engaged couples are thrown back into reality as they move in together and spend the next several weeks planning their wedding and finding out if their physical connection matches the emo- tional bonds they developed in the pods. When their wed- ding days arrive, the couples will have to decide if they'll follow through and marry the person they fell blindly in love with, or if someone will be left broken-hearted at the altar. Fans of the show will have to wait to find out how it all turns out: episodes are set to drop in batches, weekly on Fridays through mid-April. Episodes 1-5 will be available to binge March 24, episodes 6-8 drop March 31, and episodes 9-11 stream April 7, before the fina- le airs Friday, April 14. Set in Seattle for Season 4, the series is hosted once again by real-life couple Nick Lachey ("Perfect Match") and Vanessa Lachey ("NCIS: Hawai'i"). Find out which couples will find a love to stand the test of time, and which couples will see their love fizzle out in the real world. "Love is Blind" Season 4 premieres its first five episodes Friday, March 24, on Netflix. Drama in paradise: Pack your bags and settle in for what could be the shadiest season yet: "The Real House- wives: Ultimate Girls Trip" Season 3 premieres its first three episodes Thursday, March 23, on Peacock. Epi- sodes air weekly on Thursdays thereafter. As eight housewives from five different cities in the Real Housewives franchise get to- gether to take the trip of a life- time, what they all hope will be an exercise in adventure and the ultimate sisterhood takes a much more complicat- ed (and drama-packed) turn. Jetting off to Thailand this season, the new cast includes "The Real Housewives of Po- tomac's" Candiace Dillard Bassett and Gizelle Bryant; "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" cousins Heather Gay and Whitney Rose; "The Real Housewives of Miami's" Alexia Nepola and Marysol Patton; "The Real Housewives of New York City's" Leah Mc- Sweeney; and "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" alum- na Porsha Williams. What starts off as an oppor- tunity to take in the sights, the local cuisine and the new cul- ture promises to quickly turn into an explosive dive into is- sues in the girls' relationships with each other, accusations of major betrayal and a major medical emergency. After all, as the trailer says, with "eight housewives in a foreign country, what could go wrong?" Tune in to experience all the drama in paradise when Sea- son 3 of "The Real House- wives: Ultimate Girls Trip" premieres its first three epi- sodes Thursday, March 23, on Peacock. Criminal education: What makes a murderer? Find out when the complete docuseries "The Lesson is Murder" pre- mieres Thursday, March 23, on Hulu. The series follows psycho- logical criminologist and ex- FBI special agent Bryanna Fox — who has lent her expertise to reality series including "Stalker Files," "Britain's Most Evil Killers" and "World's Most Evil Killers" — as she and her class of graduate stu- dents study convicted mur- derers, evaluating their per- sonality traits and developing psychological profiles on the killers. Audiences are given an ex- clusive look into what makes a murderer tick — and how to figure it out — as Fox and her students conduct interviews with witnesses, police, the families of victims and the murderers themselves in each episode. As they analyze these violent serial offenders and dig deeper into each person's unique motives, they aim to answer the ultimate question: why does a killer kill? Executive produced by Shawn Cuddy ("Alison Roman Cooking Show"), Rushmore DeNooyer ("Wild Crime"), Beth Hoppe ("Nova") and Lisa Quijano Wolfinger ("Mercy Street"), "The Lesson is Mur- der" is a co-production be- tween Hulu and ABC News Studios. Don't miss this look into the mind of murderers: the com- plete docuseries, "The Lesson is Murder," premieres Thurs- day, March 23, on Hulu. Nick and Vanessa Lachey return to host "Love Is Blind"
