After spending 18 years in the league, Bryant con- templated what life would look like after his professional ca- reer ended. Saturday Gone Girl LIFE 10 a.m. When Nick Dunne (Ben Af- fleck) becomes the prime sus- pect in his wife Amy's (Rosa- mund Pike) disappearance, his failures as a husband come to light. Despite his misgivings, investigators are looking in the wrong direction. Neil Patrick Harris also stars. King Richard HBO 4:30 p.m. Will Smith stars as Richard Williams, the father and coach of tennis superstars Venus (Saniyya Sidney) and Serena Williams (Demi Singleton), in this Oscar-winning biographi- cal drama. Animal Kingdom TNT 8 p.m. A new episode of this drama, following the excessive, crime- funded lifestyle of the Cody family, airs tonight. J. (Finn Cole), Craig (Ben Robson) and Deran (Jake Weary) must fig- ure out what they're going to do about a self-destructive Pope (Shawn Hatosy). The Anarchists HBO 9 p.m. The penultimate episode of this six-part docuseries pre- mieres this evening. When an impulsive one-time gathering in 2015 turns into an annual event promoting anarchy in its purest form in Acapulco, Mexi- co, it begins drawing interna- tional interest. Monday Beat Shazam (24) KFTA 8 p.m. Jamie Foxx hosts while his daughter, Corinne, acts as DJ in another new episode of this musical game show. Contes- tants race against the Shazam app to name hit songs, each vy- ing for a shot at the final round and the show's million-dollar prize. Claim to Fame (29) KHOG (40) KHBS 9 p.m. Kevin and Frankie Jonas host this competition show in which 12 celebrity relatives step out of the shadows and live under one roof together. While concealing their own identity, each contes- tant must try to unmask the oth- er secret celeb family members. Tuesday Supermarket Stakeout FOOD 8 p.m. The four competing chefs dive right into the action by grilling a dish to parking-lot perfection in a new episode of this cook- ing competition. Then, host Alex Guarnaschelli challenges them to make a feel-better meal BEST BETS FX 7 p.m. Children of the Underground Faye Yager is on a mission to rescue and protect abused mothers and children in "Children of the Underground," a docuseries from Gabriela Cowperthwaite airing all five parts Friday, Aug. 12, on FX. When the American legal system failed hundreds of abused people, Yager stepped in and built an underground sys- tem to protect them.
