The local rock club may be just what you're looking for! Completely supported by generous & talented volunteers, we offer over 20 classes in Lapidary, Silversmithing, Chain-Making, Faceting, Opal Cutting, Wire Wrapping, Beading, Basket Mak- ing, Knapping, Knife Making, Leather Tooling, Glass Fusing, Stained Glass, Glass Bead Mak- ing, Stone Carving, Casting and various spe- cialty classes. We have weekly rock hounding fi eld trips, monthly ATV outings, cookouts and Holiday Dinners. During Pow Wow we have two fi eld trips each day which depart at 9 am. Stop in to our next weekly meeting at the Quartzsite Improvement Association (QIA) at 2 PM Thursday January 23rd. Then join us af- terward for coffee and cookies social time. Pop into the Club Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday for a tour (after the Pow Wow) and see for yourself that we're so much more than "just rocks." We look forward to meeting you! The next orientation for new members is 8 AM Thursday, January 23rd with shop orientations at 9 AM in in Metal Shop, Faceting or Lapidary.
