s a member of the Board of Directors of the House Corporation of Delta Mu the last few years, I cannot begin to describe what a pleasure it has been to serve with Amanda Still Humber '70, outgoing President of House Corporation. Amanda has unselfishly devoted countless hours over the past four years. She has been attentive to the needs of maintaining a beautiful home for 433 young women, while being an excellent steward of our finances. Her affable, steady manner has fostered a House Corporation on which it is a pleasure to serve. While Amanda is get- ting a well-deserved reprieve from the duties of president, we are fortunate that she has agreed to remain on the House Corporation Board. We have found that with 66 members living in and another 370 members fre- quenting the house, certain areas of the house receive a tremendous amount of traffic. While we welcome this prob- lem, as we always want the members to enjoy and utilize the facility, we are continually undertaking a number of projects around the house. Last sum- mer, some of the projects included painting the second and third floors, reupholstering and purchasing fur- niture for the common areas on the second and third floors, purchas- ing some new furniture for down- stairs, upgrading the audio/visual equipment throughout the house, replacing an exterior door, and replacing part of the hot water system. This summer, our plans include reupholstering the furniture in the computer room, purchasing new outdoor furniture, repairing existing exterior gates, purchas- ing new dinnerware, and repairing a num- ber of dining room chairs. The assistance and hard work of our wonderful staff help with the oversight and execution of these projects and many other daily tasks. We are so fortunate to have their commitment to offering a welcoming and lovely home for all of our members. Please consider joining us on Sunday, April 15, at 1:30 p.m. in the dining room of the Tri Delta house for our annual House Corporation meeting. All alumnae are welcome to attend. At this meeting the slate for directors, as listed below, will be presented. Additional nominations may be made from the floor.
