Education in Tehama County KEEP ON LEARNING Grandparents' Day Elks honor middle, high school students Friday, November 23, 2012 – Daily News 5A Courtesy photo Courtesy photo Sacred Heart students in grades kindergarten through the eighth grade on Wednesday, Nov. 21, honored some special people in their lives, their grandparents. Grandparents' Day began with mass lead by Sacred Heart Student Council Members. After Mass, grandparents joined their grandchildren in their classrooms for activities and snacks. There was a photographer on hand to capture that special moment between grandchildren and grandparents. Students were excited to share their classrooms and teachers with their grandparents. Soroptimist is an organization of women whose members volunteer in their communities, often working on the same problems that you do. Although we realize that volunteering is its own reward, we also know it feels good to be recognized for your actions. And that's why we sponsor this award.
