Cole McKenzie put up big numbers in high school as a Red Bluff Spartan and this season's he's doing it again at the collegiate level at Southern Oregon University. The 2009 Red Bluff graduate is part of the NAIA 12th ranked Southern Oregon team that has assaulted opponents and the record books in recent weeks. Last week the school beat Eastern Oregon University 63- 35 for its fifth consecutive win. McKenzie's two touchdowns in the game gave him a school record 14 for the season. He also set the record for most receiving yards in a season. His 1,125 yards eclipsed a record set by Spike Goron in 1965. The school also posted a monumental win by defeating 6-time NAIA champion Carrol College 52-49. McKenzie caught 11 passes for 234 yards and two scores in the win. 55.3 points per game.
