FayTV7 Is Now FayTV
by NATHAN WALLS
FayTV7, the City of Fayetteville's government access channel, has changed its name and its look. FayTV7 has dropped the 7 out of
its title and is now known as FayTV. The station airs on channel 7 on Time Warner Cable, is streamed online at www.FayTV.net
and its content is also distributed via social media.
With the many ways to watch FayTV, in addition to YouTube and social media, it was an
easy decision for staff to drop the 7 off the name.
"FayTV is more than just a government access TV channel," said Kevin Arata, Corporate
Communications Director. "FayTV programming is available on www.FayTV.net, YouTube,
social media and on Time Warner Cable. We have multiple platforms for residents to access our
great content, and so we want the public to know that FayTV is accessible in a number of ways
to meet the interests of our viewers."
Live Streaming
FayTV is now streaming live on the City's website, as well. To access live streaming, click
on the FayTV link to the left of the homepage and then select the stream link at the
middle of the page.
"We are excited to bring content for FayTV to residents so they can watch from the comfort of
their own home or smartphone," said Sherri Kropp, TV Production Specialist. "The
streaming access adds another option for residents to watch FayTV, whether it is on their
TV at home or their phone when they are on the go."
Fayetteville In Focus
FayTV features live and archived City Council meetings and original programming, including its newly packaged episodic news show Fayetteville in Focus, Your PWC
Connections and other interesting and informative shows. Fayetteville in Focus shares stories from around the city. A new episode will be released every two weeks.
FayTV-produced content can be watched on social media by liking the City of Fayetteville on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/cityoffayettevillegovernment.
"Talkin' Trash with Anne"
Also, watch "Talkin Trash with Anne," our community crusader for clean
curbs, as she works with residents and the City's Environmental Services
team to combat household and yard waste. A liaison against litter and a
renegade against rummage, Anne works tirelessly to build a bridge of
trash-free tranquility all in the name of the clean city we all share.
Episodes will air on FayTV, Facebook and YouTube. The show can also
be accessed on the City's website at www.FayettevilleNC.gov/talkintrash.
