Alex has worked very hard and puts 110% effort into everything he does. Through his dedication and hard work, Alex has met his graduation requirements a few months early and will be wearing cap and gown in May with his class! Alex has loved learning about the 1850s and being a docent at the Wm. B. Ide Adobe State Historic Park. In addition to excelling scholastically, Austin has been involved in the Bluffer for four years. Carlie is certified in CPR and First Aid, and she also volunteers at the Special Olympics. She does all this while holding down a part time job and maintains excellent grades. He is a great student, an excellent athlete, and very active in many extra curricular activities. He is currently President of our Student Council, plays the guitar for our weekly liturgies, is a member of both Club Live and our Relay for Life team. During his time at Sacred Heart School, Ryan has played soccer, basketball and softball for "The Trojans". Ryan is also active in 4-H and Red Bluff baseball. This young lady has dedicated herself in the Advanced Art Class to excel in her artistic craft. A day never goes by that she does not have a smile on her face or a friendly hello to offer. Coupled with those skills, she provides insight to other students and gives constructive advice when needed on paintings. When a person meets Angel, her positive attitude is immediately evident and her concern for others is sincere. This year she has completed multiple acrylic paintings and her work has been exhibited on campus and at the Rolling Hills Casino for Corning Rotary events. Angel has volunteered her time toward community service that involves the Corning Rotary's student Interact Club. She is planning a future career in the arts upon the completion of college. They have spent countless hours in the Corning Union High School Metal shop learning the welding trade. Both of these young men are attending the Butte College Welding Technology program to pursue a career as welders for PG&E. Brandon and Dominic have completed some outstanding projects while at CUHS. The one that stands out above the rest was a joint effort on both of their parts. They constructed the new "CORNING VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT SIGN" that is now mounted on the side of the fire hall in preparation for the Centennial Celebration of the Corning Volunteer Fire Department. They both produced quality work in completing this project as a service to the community. Both Dominic and Brandon have a true passion for the welding industry that will inevitably land both of them meaningful, productive and lucrative jobs in the industry once they complete their training at Butte College.
