There will also be an annual consumers price in- dex applicable to the region included with the proposed rate increase. PROPOSED RATE INCREASES The board of directors of the GLFCSD and the district manager have reviewed the current water and sewer rate struc- tures and determined that an increase in the rates is necessary in order to re- cover sufficient reviews to operate and maintain the GLFCSD's Water an Sew- er system. Sewer Rates: • Monthly flat rate of $44.87 per sew- er hook-up for each residence within the district. Reasons for the Rate Adjustment: • 16 years without an increase in monthly sewer rates. • Increase revenue needed to meet ris- ing operating expenses and build capi- tal reserves for depreciable assets. • Adopt water conservation require- ments from State regulators and charge according to metered water usage. • Construct drying bed for removing ris- ing sludge in the aeration pond or trans- port to designated landfill..
