www.alpha6294.com Alphabet 4 One of his favorite undergraduate memories was driving down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras with 32 brothers where Nino Bonura '97 (A1415) and his family showed the men the best of the Big Easy. Although he had the time of his life as an undergraduate, he wants to remind everyone that brotherhood doesn't end upon graduation. He's gone on vacations with brothers, they were in his wedding, he is the godparent of brothers' children, and so much more. "Theta Xi is such a part of my life and the brothers are like family," John says. "The impact is truly immeasurable." While serving as the Alpha alumni president, he set out to re-engage as many alumni as possible and to show them that the brotherhood was as strong as ever. That ultimately led to a turnout of hundreds of brothers attending the 150th anniversary and the official kickoff of the capital campaign in 2014. After the 150th, he handed over the reins to Chris Baldauf '03 (A1487), but still remains involved by providing guidance and giving back to the capital campaign. "Providing a strong foundation for the active chapter, both financially and with a renovated chapter house, allows for the men to focus on academics, athletics, socials, philanthropy, and recruiting new members," John says. "Having an Alpha Chapter house located in a dominant place on campus and look as impressive as it does truly showcase everything we are and stand for." He encourages all alumni to look at the construction progress and think of how it will affect current and future brothers. John works at Time Warner cable designing, developing, and deploying new technologies. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Elisa; his three children: Ethan, Joshua, and Aurora; and their dog, Daisy. You can contact John at john@teamreinhardt.com.
