It was a fraternity brother who introduced Joe to Doris Fenton at Cornell; they were married for 70 years until Doris passed away in 2013. Joe is survived by his brother, Daniel Klockner III, five children, 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Robert W. Hagen Sr. '47 (A662) entered Chapter Eternal peacefully on July 13. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen, of 59 years, and his sister, Marcia Jane Hagen. He is survived by his son, Robert; daughter, Kimberly; and two grandchildren. He was an avid golfer and card player at his home in Grenelefe, Fla. He was a great husband, father, and friend who will be missed tremendously. Robert F. Longbine '47 (A663) entered Chapter Eternal on February 17 at Indian River Medical Center. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Geraldine H. Longbine, in 2013. He is survived by his four daughters, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Bob had a stellar career, but his real legacy was his genuine love of family and friends. He was a resident of Vero Beach, Fla. John DeNike '46 (A671) entered Chapter Eternal on December 11, 2014, at the age of 94. He was a resident of Irvine, Calif. Richard H. Parsons '49 (A704) entered Chapter Eternal on April 14, 2014, in Newville, Pa. Dick is survived by his brother, Norman. Richard M. Sweitzer '51 (A765) entered Chapter Eternal on September 26, 2014. He came back to Troy for the 150th anniversary in April 2014. Dick is survived by Barbara, his wife of 58 years; his sons: Paul, Mark, Jim, and Rich; his sibling, Dorothy Meehan; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Richard was a resident of Putney, Vt. John D. Bloodgood '52 (A801) entered Chapter Eternal on January 6 in Naples, Fla. Jack founded his architectural firm, Bloodgood Architects, in 1966 in Des Moines. His firm grew to 17 regional offices at his retirement in 1996 and continues today as BSB Design. John F. Canty, Jr. '66 (A1021) entered Chapter Eternal in May. Jack had COPD and congestive heart failure. He died at home in Youghal, Ireland, and had his ashes scattered in the seas off Ireland and New Hampshire. Steven C. Truskowski '71 (A1116) entered Chapter Eternal on November 17, 2014, of complications from Crohn's disease. He is survived by his wife, Cathy; his daughter, Jamie; and his only brother, Richard. He was a resident of Hamburg, N.Y. A lpha Chapter hosted alumni during Reunion and Homecoming Weekend with a Wine & Cheese Night on Friday night followed by the Saturday afternoon Alumni BBQ at the chapter house. Highlights of the weekend included a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday October 3 to celebrate the completion of the first phase of renovations to the chapter house. Among the crowd of Theta Xis were former TX National President Don Meringer, Iota 1093, and Grand Lodge V.P. Alumni Affairs Adam Schaeffer, Iota 1538. Alumni and actives enjoy an afternoon barbecue on the front lawn of the chapter house.
