The accomplishments and success enjoyed by Xi Chapter are directly attributed to the ongoing and loyal support from the chapter's alumnae relations efforts. Your gifts help the women of Xi Chapter not only today but well into the future! Contributors to the spring 2015 appeal are listed below by their lifetime giving totals. If an error has been made in recording the amount of your gift, we sincerely apologize. If corrections to your giving records are needed, please send them to alehr@penningtonco. com. Thank you, again, for your loyal support. a Our Purpose The Alpha Chi Omega Educational Corporation supports Xi Chapter collegians to achieve academically through funding scholarships, funding educational resources, and honoring collegians who exhibit academic and leadership success. The Legacy of Knowledge: Founders Emerge in Many Ways This year we are celebrating one of our founders through the creation of Amy Day, which is a tribute to one of Alpha Chi's founders, Amy DuBois. Along with Anna Allen, Olive Burnett, Bertha Deniston, Nellie Gamble, Bessie Grooms, and Estelle Leonard, these women created the legacy of Alpha Chi. I'm sure as these young women pursued the dream of creating a musical fraternity, that they had no idea Alpha Chi Omega would eventually grow into a wonderful organization with over 200,000 lifetime members. Yet it was truly the founders' passion for music and fellowship that has created an organization of real strong women who have become leaders in their communities while maintaining a life loyal sisterhood. Today, beyond the original expectation of having a musical talent or interest to bind the hearts of members, Alpha Chi Omega chapters focus on academics, character, financial responsibility, leadership, and personal development. All of us have met these standards of membership while we were in college, and hopefully continue to live these standards in a variety of ways throughout our lives. For many of us, our first community involvement as collegians began as initiates volunteering at the chapter house, during community service events, and through campus events. During our collegiate years, we developed strong and lasting friendships which have led us to participate in alumni organizations. It was with this strong sense of community and responsibility to Alpha Chi Omega that the Xi Chapter alumnae created a legacy of knowledge by establishing the Educational Corporation in 2005. This 501(c)(3) status corporation is celebrating its 10-year anniversary this year! A milestone mark of fellowship and financial responsibility as Xi Chapter alumnae have given back to ensure future generations of sisters enjoy the same benefits as we did during our collegiate years. We simply cannot say thank you enough to the generous alumnae who have given to the Educational Corporation over the last 10 years. Thank you for creating a legacy of knowledge.
