GENERAL WORK DESCRIPTION: This project will consist of the building modifications defined by the construction drawings and other specified work as de- fined by the plans and specifica- tions for the relocation of the existing Red Bluff airport restau- rant to a ground floor location within the airport terminal building. The new downstairs location, that will essentially switch the locations of the res- taurant and the airport museum area, will now provide a rede- signed, modernized and code compliant kitchen and ADA com- pliant access to the downstairs restaurant. The building upgrades will in- clude, but not be limited to, up- graded stove and refrigeration equipment, restaurant HVAC, and the plumbing system im- provements necessary for the efficient and healthy operation of the kitchen equipment as well as the public areas. The im- provements also includes the in- stallation of an ansul hood and system at the cooking area, makeup air system for the kitch- en, HVAC for the seating areas and supply and waste line de- sign for all plumbed utilities in- cluding kitchen equipment and floor sinks and the tie-in to the new grease interceptor. Electrical upgrades will provide for the provision of power to all components of the new space including kitchen equipment, lighting design, outlet location and new mechanical units. BUSINESS LICENSE - REQUIRED - The Contractor and each sub- contractor shall obtain a valid, current City of Red Bluff Busi- ness License on or before their commencement of work on the project. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE - RE- QUIRED - Pursuant to the provi- sions of Section 3300 of the Pub- lic Contracts Code, the Contrac- tor to whom a bid is awarded for this project shall possess, on or before the date of the award, a valid, current contractor's li- cense of the classification re- quired for the project. In addi- tion, each subcontractor shall possess a valid, current contrac- tor's license for their classifica- tion prior to commencement of their work on the project. Any contractor or subcontractor who bids on or performs work that requires the payment of prevailing wages under state law (SB 854) must be registered with the Department of Industri- al Relations (DIR). The Contractor and any subcon- tractor who is unlicensed shall be subject to all legal penalties imposed by law, including but not limited to, any appropriate disciplinary action by the Con- tractors' State License Board. Further, failure of the Contractor to obtain proper and adequate licensing for an award of a con- tract shall constitute a failure to execute the contract and shall result in the forfeiture of the Bidder's security.
