It is thanks to your gifts that we have achieved milestone after milestone and today stand at more than $2.1 million raised. To reach our goal of $2.2 million, it will take a concerted effort from every member. This is why we are asking you to consider a special undertaking—along with your pledge class, set a goal of being in the top 10 participating classes in the campaign. Better yet, strive to be number 1! If you haven't yet made a contribution to the campaign, join with your sisters to make sure your class makes the list! If you have donated, pick up the phone and call one of your sister's who hasn't yet given. Your phone call may be the motivation she needs to join this historic effort. If you would like to reach out to members from your initiation year, please contact our campaign coordinator at (785) 843-1661 for a list. Congratulations to our top 10 initiation classes, listed by percentage of participation. Thank You, Loyal Donors Generous Alumnae and Friends Honor Ludi Mai Goode W e are humbled by the generosity of the following individuals who have contributed $43,980 to the Ludi Mai Goode Grand Staircase Memorial. September was a busy month for us with Anchor Splash® on September 13 and our Lectureship in Values and Ethics with Coach Larry Brown on September 30. We are so excited to announce that we raised more than $20,000 at Anchor Splash® and will be donating this money to a great philanthropy, Service for Sight. Our Lectureship with Coach Larry Brown was a great success, and he had a great message for the audience about values and ethics both on and off the court. Upcoming Events For the next few months, we are busy getting ready for family weekend, Homecoming, the alumnae trick or treat event, and much more! With the Homecoming theme of Woody and Jessie from Toy Story, our director of activities, Elena Politiski '12, is hard at work planning an amazing float and Homecoming week activities with Beta Theta Pi. Scholarship and Philanthropy We are so happy to announce that our women are excelling in the area of scholarship, ranking fourth in GPA among Panhellenic sororities. Our GPA also exceeds the Panhellenic GPA and the all-women's GPA at SMU. We also had five women receive Lamps of Knowledge this past semester for receiving their first 4.0. We are busy brainstorming ideas for a second philanthropy event this semester and are working hard to establish a strong recruitment presence among freshmen this semester.
