REDBLUFF» TheTehamaCounty Animal Care Center will be issu- ing vouchers to the public to as- sist with the spaying of female pit bull and pit bull mixes. These vouchers will assist low income clients, in the hopes that these services will prevent un- wanted litters of puppies. Vouchers are now available to the public, must be picked up in person and cannot be reserved over the phone. There are a lim- ited number of vouchers available, and they will be awarded on a first come, first served basis. Director Andrew Meredith, a member of the board's commit- tee that is looking into a poten- tial fair rescheduling, said a July fair could better serve the coun- ty's students who show animals at the fair by keeping them in school during fair week and potentially allowing students to show ani- mals both at the California State Fair and the local livestock auc- tion. Robert built him a company. In April, BeastUp launched its first prod- uct, a performance drink sold in six coun- ties and 70-plus stores across Northern Cal- ifornia, including here in Red Bluff. Getting to that point was a five-year jour- ney for Robert, which involved his own fa- ther John and his wife Michelle. It's a journey the Waeltys hope proves successful so they can give back to other local extreme sports athletes. According to the FBI, the man, who has been dubbed the "Bad Breath Bandit," held up banks in Durham, Los Molinos and Nevada City. He's described as a white male about 6 feet tall, weighing 210 to 250 pounds and with dark hair.
