By Jeff Larson jlarson@paradisepost.com @jtlarson on Twitter PARADISE Paradise High's Bai- ley Bengson stepped onto the volleyball court along with two of her senior teammates one more time Thursday night look- ing for a victory for a Bobcat team that's been undermanned and struggling all year. But Red Bluff, struggling with an undersized roster all season, spoiled the Bobcats' Senior Night celebration with a four-set, 25-15, 24-26, 30-28, 25-22 road win over Paradise, sweeping the Eastern Athletic League series between the two schools. Red Bluff (8-19, 2-10 EAL) and Paradise (11-27, 2-10) are both eliminated from the Northern Section (CIF) Division III play- offs, as seeds were announced on Friday. "We had six seniors playing (Thursday) and they wanted to end on a positive note," Red Bluff coach Josh Frantz said. "Obvi- ously a win is a positive note." The match swung back and forth rapidly between these two teams, with Red Bluff jumping out to a huge, 17-10 first-set lead, with the help of five straight at- tacking errors from Paradise. A team led by Henry Cisneros, a former four-term San Antonio mayor and federal housing chief, flew to the Bay Area to meet with the football franchise to make a case for the team to move. "If they are visiting Oakland for the secret to Everett and Jones BBQ sauce, awesome, but if they are here to woo the Raiders they are wasting their time," said Al- ameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty, who sits on the city- county board that governs the East Oakland stadium site. "Hope they visit Children's Fairyland or the Oakland Zoo so their trip is not a total waste — because the Raiders are staying." The Oakland trip follows a tour of San Antonio and its Al- amodome that Cisneros and other San Antonio civic leaders gave to Raiders owner Mark Davis this summer. Davis confirmed he met with the Texas delegation Friday and said only that "Henry Cisneros said their job was to present San RAIDERS Oakland brass not worried about team relocating Hundreds of Palestinians knelt on prayer carpets in a Jeru- salem street Friday, faced by a cordon of Israeli riot police who blocked them from reach- ing Islam's third-holiest shrine in the nearby Old City.
