Experience the Local Restaurants Downtown! If you missed Downtown Fayetteville Restaurant Week May 27-June 2, do not worry! There are still plenty of opportunities for you to try the fabulous restaurants Downtown Fayetteville has to offer. Here is a sampling of our fantastic “local joints.” Starting at 223 Person St. is R&M’s Southern Kitchen with daily home cooked specials, choice of two veggies, roll/cornbread and tea or lemonade. They also have a wide range of  more. Next up at 132 Person St. is Louie’s, which is one of the newest additions downtown, serving up breakfast, lunch and dinner with choices of sandwiches, burgers, pasta and pizza.. Circa 1800 at 108 Person St. always has a good  their martinis. Of course, they have more than that on their delicious menu that brings people back and packs out their patio and bar. Almost next door at 102 Person St. is Lido’s The Euro Spot, which has amazing European and Russian  with music, drinks and dancing. Around the corner at 114 Gillespie St., you will recently renovated McDuff’s Tea Room, which is known far and wide for its homemade If you are looking for some vegetarian fare, Fresh Café, located at 212 Hay St., serves fresh salads, sandwiches and quiches and also host acoustic music during the week. Also, Huske Hardware House and Brewery, located at 405 Hay St., is gaining recognition in this area as a regional supplier of custom crafted brewed beers. They also have a large pub menu and an active night life with music and entertainment. Next door, Wet Willie’s, a restaurant and bar with a variety of daiquiris, will be opening later this summer. For a quick cup of coffee and a tasty treat or two, try Rude Awakening Coffee House, located at 227 Hay St., or the Market Square Coffee House, at 106 Hay St. Desserts are a specialty downtown. We have four stores  tooth. Baskets of Blessings has delicious concoctions of  candy goodies. The Cupcake Gallery, located at 107 Person St., has a generous array of cupcakes with old favorites and daily surprises. Just Desserts, located at 314 Hay St., has special occasion cakes, including weddings, anniversaries and birthdays. They also offer baked goods. The Chocolate Lady, located at 318 Hay St., carries a variety of chocolate dipped items and specialty gourmet treats all for the taking. Enjoy your restaurant exploring and remember you can always walk downtown to burn some of the calories off!
