Corning High concert The Corning Union High School Spring Band and Choir Concert will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 20, at the High School’s North Gym. Tickets are $5 adults, $3 students and $10 family ticket. There is a $1 discount when you bring a canned food item. Amazing grains exhibition CHICO — The Chico Museum recently opened a new exhibit titled, Amazing Grains: The Story of Rice in Cali- fornia and Beyond. There is truly something for everyone and all ages are welcome. The Chico Museum is at 141 Salem St. in downtown Chico. It is open to the public noon to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. Local girls win firsts overall at dance competition About 200 students will be performing during the 2011 Spring Concert presented by the Red Bluff Union Elemen- tary School District’s Music Department. The concert is entitled "The World of Music" and will feature: Bidwell, Jackson Heights, and Metteer Elementary School Beginning Bands; Bidwell, Jackson Heights, and Metteer Elementary School Intermediate Bands;Vista Mid- dle School Concert Band;Vista Middle School Jazz Band;Vista Middle School Small Ensembles.
