The American Legion Post # 167 demonstrated its appreciation April 17 to some of the merchants and businesses that support the American Legion's func - tions and programs. It is truly an honor to work with business leaders that sup- port a veterans organiza- tion such as the American Legion and its Auxiliary. In turn, the American Legion supports local veter - ans when needed and com- munity programs such as Boys State and Girls State program, two Red Bluff Bulls baseball teams and Good Student Awards at nine local schools. Barbecued hamburgers and hotdogs will be served af - ter the cruise in the Masonic parking lot next to the cham- ber office. Included in the meal will be chips, soda and ice cream for $5. If you are registered you receive two meal tickets in your registration packet. A live band, 613 Main Street, will perform music that you are sure to enjoy. There will also be Fire Dancers around 8 p.m. Saturday the volunteer firefighters will serve a Pan - cake breakfast from 7 -11 a.m. at the station and the Fire- man's Muster is back this year at 1 p.m. on Marin Street between 5th and 6th streets. To be judged for the Show and Shine on Saturday, all cars must be parked by 10 a.m. This year cash prizes will be given out. Mayor's and Chamber's Choice winners will receive $100, a plaque and a Snap-On zip up sweatshirt. First place in each category will receive $50 and second place $25 as well as a plaque.
