Chamber of Commerce celebrates the 22nd annual Existing Industry Appreciation events throughout the month of May. May was pro- claimed Existing Industry Appreciation month on April 27, 2007 by both Cumberland County and the City of Fayetteville. The top five industries in Cumberland County employ 6,467. According to the Em- ployment Security Commission there are a total of 113 industries in the Cumberland County area and they employ 8,124 employees with wages
of $96,369,673.00. For distribution and warehousing there are 168 facili- ties that employ 12,974 employees and pay wages of $45,049,000.00.
