I work full time, so before I leave my house in the morning, I set up my slow cooker and plug it into a timer. Most days, I only cook for two, preparing a couple of pork chops or chicken. With the timer, I start the cooking at noon on low and end it at 5:30 when I get home, avoiding the need to cook for 10 hours. It is important to make sure the timer is set correctly. In the morning, the meat goes in frozen, so there is no need to worry about it sitting out until noon. It's so nice to come home to a nice hot meal. -- Linda Brush holder. When I redid my bathroom, I took the old toothbrush holder, ran it through the dishwasher and now use it to hold my makeup brushes on the counter. Rocky was smashing port for Rocky. We were, him with some vicious without a doubt, the loudest ground and pound, and then Vilche Check Out our online 'YARD SALE MAP' the referee stops the action and takes a point away from Rocky for illegal hits to the back of the head (which was SO not the case). After that point, you could tell Rocky was worried about throwing punches when he had his opponent on the ground. It didn't stop him from getting a lot of cracks in, though. I have to give his opponent credit. That guy was able to defend Rocky's submission attempts (which are crazy good). His opponent was in a defensive stance just trying to survive all three rounds. Rocky completely dominated each and every round, and the crowd was favoring him as well, with deafening cheers, "Rocky! Rocky! Rocky!" However, since he hadn't knocked out or submitted his opponent and got that point taken away in the first round, I was nervous that they may give the other guy the decision (as they often do- one of the main reasons I retired from fighting). I was holding my breath waiting for the announcer to tell us who won. They gave the scores, which all pointed to one fighter. Then they announced Rocky "Rockstar" Golden won the unanimous decision. We were all on our feet, screaming for him. I was so happy, so proud, and he was just floating on air with that win. I can see that he's got a bright future in fighting, and I'll always be able to say, "I knew him when......" As for me, as exciting as it was to watch, it didn't motivate me to get back into the ring. To diet, to train, to travel, to stress outand to get lame judges. Nope, no thanks. I'll just watch. I am getting excited about doing the World Eskimo Indian Olympics one more time. For those of you who don't know, these Native games are open to Native Americans, and they occur in Fairbanks, Alaska every July. My friend, Cory Roads, a fellow Native and a former fighter, is going to make the journey with me. Ruth Ann Merkle, my faithful photographer/videographer will be capturing the magic on film. And, top to it off, my coach, Joe Hanlin, will be training us for these brutal events while his friend, Bernard Oliverwho has extensive cinematography experience, will be doing an actual documentary about the whole thing. We're looking at grants to cover the costs of travel and lodging, and we may have another fundraiser in the near future. Any potential sponsors out there, feel free to contact me. One way or another, I am going to get the story of WEIO out there for the whole world to see. Where else can you find the ear pull contest, the four man carry, the two legged high kick...
