McKenzie boy shot while on creek hunting It has just been learned here that Roy McKenzie, 11 years of age, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mose McKenzie of Red Bluff, was accidentally shot while hunting with a boy companion near Anderson Sunday afternoon. They were along a creek when one boy passed the gun to the other. In doing this the gun was discharged, the bullet entering the right leg above the knee and ranging upwards. The injured lad was taken to the Redding hospital and later removed to his home here. A second theft at the same location was reported a few hours later. Around $50 in cash and documents were taken and the ignition had been tam- pered with so the vehicle would no longer start. • A burglary was reported to a garage on the 23000 block of Gyle Road. Theft • The theft of gas and vandalism to a county vehicle was reported at the east side of Juvenile Hall and the shop maintenance building. • About $20 in fuel was taken from a vehicle on Gurnsey Avenue over the weekend. Vandalism • Graffiti was reported at Northside Park in Corning. • A window was broken out on a vehicle parked on the 2000 block of Barham Avenue.
