Both the morning service at 10:45 a.m. and the evening service, at 6 p.m., will be blessed with the presence of the Crandall Brothers — a staple in Southern Gospel both music and preaching. They have been in Corning many times and have always been a joy and more for those who have heard them. The church invites everyone to join in the fellowship. Neighborhood is at First and South streets in Corning. Following the morning service, the ladies of the church will be serving a chili and cornbread luncheon for just a freewill donation. For more information, call 824-2323. Brazil missionary to speak Sunday The Rev. Doris Johnson, missionary to Brazil, will be ministering at 11 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at Abundant Life Fellowship. Johnson, along with her late husband, Bernhard, established the Bernhard Johnson Ministries in Brazil and she has celebrated more than 50 years of ministry there. They began a correspondence school, Brazil Extension School of Theology (BEST) and Brazil Advanced School of Theology (BAST) which have a combined enrollment of more than 22,000 students. The Johnson Ministries also have a large children's outreach with their Children of Brazil Outreach (COBO). Johnson assists in coordinating medical clinics with teams from Health Care Ministries, which provides medical, dental, optical and spiritual care to the needy in Brazil. She travels extensively in the United States, ministering at mission conventions, women's conferences and prayer retreats. She will also be speaking at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, to the Ladies Prayer Circle at Abundant Life. Light refreshments will be served at this meeting. Ladies from all faiths are invited to attend.
