Input Needed for 2014 calen- dar of events All Chamber members are asked to help in compiling information for one of the more popular of the Chamber's resident and tourist handouts — the annual Calendar of Events. This 4-page listing of events taking place in our area throughout the year is distributed to visitors, local residents, organizations, media and publications throughout the entire state. You can help by supplying the Chamber with any information regarding date, location, contact information, etc., of any major or traditional events that will take place in Tehama County next year. In addition to major events like the Red Bluff Round Up in April, the calendar lists other popular events such as the Farm City Night in November and the Relay for Life in May. In order to make the list as complete as possible and not leave any event out, we ask several times for help in identifying these events with appropriate dates, etc. So please, if you know of any event already scheduled for next year, call the Chamber office at 527-6220, fax the event schedule at 530-527-2908, or e-mail the event schedule to jason@redbluffchamber.com so that we can include them in the 2014 Calendar of Events. Please contact the office if you would like to be a sponsor of this most popular publication. Submission deadline is Dec. 15. Papa Murphy's was bought by John and Jennifer Fitzpatrick in February of this year. Prior to coming to Corning they owned a Papa Murphy's in Lincoln, California for approximately seven years. They have 15 full time or part-time employees. They are a family- owned business who believes in being active in their community and love being involved with the local schools and the fundraising needs. They want to be known in the community as a "fun place to work and shop, where the employees know your name and understand that your time and experience is as valuable as theirs. Papa Murphy's not only have made-to-order pizzas, they also serve deserts, fresh salads, cheesy bread and beverages. Their pizzas are made with an ample amount of the freshest ingredients. Owners John and Jennifer Fitzpatrick have been married 20 years and have four boys. Two sons work in the Corning store and one runs the Willows store. They are hard workers and don't have a lot of free time working 6 to 7 days a week, but when they do they like to spend quiet time together as a family just relaxing. Jennifer would really like to catch a salmon but since John is not a fisherman she's looking for someone to teach her. Deep sea fishing is also something on her "Bucket List". Jennifer has a passion for photography and hopes to get back into doing senior portraits for low income families as she has done for 18 years, but starting up a new store consumes all her time right now. The Fitzpatrick family looks forward to partnering with the local schools to invest in the children of Corning. They have fundraising plans that will be implemented soon. You are invited to visit Papa Murphy's and enjoy the great customer service and great tasting pizzas that come fresh out of your oven.
