Memberships will be available for purchase at the first concert of the season, Everything Fitz, on Oct. 28 at the State Theatre. Tickets to individual concerts may be purchased at the door for $20 per adult and $10 per student younger than 25, still living at home. Season tickets are $60 for adult membership, $15 for students younger than 25 and living at home and $125 for families, including two adults and all children younger than 25 and living at home. Following is a listing of the season series of performances. All shows start at 7:30 p.m. at the State Theatre in Red Bluff. Everything Fitz — Oct. 28 Everything Fitz is a family band featuring the high energy fiddling and percussive step dancing of four of Canada's finest young musicians. With roots in the Canadian old-time fiddle tradition and Ottawa Valley step dancing, their unique stage show combines a variety of musical styles, traditional jigs and reels, bluegrass, jazz and swing standards, Celtic, Gospel as well as novelty numbers and choreographed dance routines. California Guitar Trio Plus Montreal Guitar Trio — Nov. 20 Concert features six virtuoso guitarists from four countries. The California Guitar Trio (CGT) and the Montreal Guitar Trio (MG3) fuse over 40 years of combined performing experience into one unique six-by-6 string phenomensemble. In a pleasantly surprising way, CGT's steel stringed-guitars blend Goddess of Soul coming to Redding NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Jane L. Powell will bring her acclaimed soul, humor and vocal prowess to the historic Cascade Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11. Powell has demonstrated her remarkable vocal range throughout the US, Canada, Europe and the Caribbean, recorded a national McDonald's advertisement and can be seen and heard in the films "Marie" and "The Bachelor." She earned the title of "Entertainer of the Year," "Performing Arts/Music Awards" and "Jazz Artist of the Year" by the National Association for Campus Activities ("NACA") and has worked with or opened for artists such as Lou Rawls, B.J. Thomas and The Crusaders. In regards to opening for the legendary Ray Charles, The Washington Post said, "She stole the night from a legend." North State Symphony's Holiday Chamber Concert — Dec. 14 The North State Symphony's traditional Christmas concert. Our baroque ensemble will play gorgeous Christmas works and beautiful arrangements of favorite carols. Two on Tap — March 18, 2014 Two on Tap marks the creative collaboration of celebrated musical theatre performers Melissa Giattino and Ron DeStefano. Gorgeous vocals, exciting tap choreography, and unique musical arrangements all take center stage in their hit shows. The Vintage Singers — April 21, 2014 The Vintage Singers were drawn together for the express purpose of preserving and sharing the great folk music from the 1960s and 1970s with today's audiences. Their major focus is in authentically performing the music of Peter, Paul and Mary with other songs from groups such as The Seekers, The New Christy Minstrels and The Kingston Trio, adopting the styles of these other groups when their versions of songs done by Peter, Paul and Mary are the ones that actually became hits. The 4th annual Music and Merlot fundraiser will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at the JBL Ranch in Cottonwood. This fundraiser has been an amazing grass-roots community project that has helped to sustain and expand Evergreen School's music program during financial hardships. Ticket purchase includes a Tuscany-inspired dinner of stuffed pork loin, chicken cacciatore, wild rice pilaf, roasted vegetables, homemade bread, salad and dessert catered by Cottonwood Eatery, a complementary glass of Burnsini wine in a keepsake glass. Wildcard Brewing Co. will be serving its award winning IPA and wheat beer, Burnsini wines may be available by the glass or bottle. There will be music by Indigo Brew and Acoustic West, entertainment, door prizes, silent and live auctions, dancing and more fun than you have had in a very long time all for a great cause. Each classroom helps to create a themed gift basket for door prizes and the community business donations have been outstanding; including spa packages, 7-night stay in Kona vacation home, golfing, airplane flights, mini Australian Shepherd puppy, artwork, autographed Chris Young guitar, jewelry, concert tickets, custom framed autographed photos of Taylor Swift and Willie Mays, and more than 20 baskets.
