UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI SPRING 2025 T H E TA D ATA A s a fraternity, SigEp often cites the idea that behind every great chapter is a great set of volunteers. This could not be truer for Ohio Theta. As chapter counselor, I personally get to see the impact of our volunteers on undergraduates. Whether it is a senior telling a story about a dream career opportunity guided by a volunteer or a freshman describing new life skills he learned from his mentor, Ohio Theta volunteers make a difference in the lives of young men every day. In just the spring 2025 semester, undergraduate brothers received mentorship and guidance from more than 30 Ohio Theta volunteers and alumni. Mentorship takes on a variety of forms at 321 Joselin: You will find each executive board officer with a personal mentor they meet with at least monthly to work through obstacles and make plans to accomplish their goals. You will find mentors buried in project plans and spreadsheets to help in coordinating the next great Ohio Theta event. You will find alumni stopping by the chapter house to share their professional wisdom as part of a chapter-wide professional development series. Some volunteers live just a few miles away from campus while others live and work hundreds of miles away. As I reflect on the impact of our mentors, I wanted to hear directly from them: Why do you volunteer? "I'm happy to volunteer my time to return benefits I gained from having similar mentorship at that stage of my life. I enjoy working with undergraduate members of the chapter to help carry on the traditions while also adapting to the future, ensuring the continued success of Ohio Theta!" –Braden Baldwin '18, VP of Member Development Mentor The Ohio Theta tradition of excellence continues, and undergraduate lives are impacted for the better because of volunteers just like Braden.
