O
hio Theta Chapter had a strong and impactful spring semester
marked by continued momentum in leadership, academics,
philanthropy, and campus involvement. With a shared sense of
purpose and brotherhood, our chapter pushed forward on all fronts
and laid the foundation for an even stronger year ahead.
SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP
Philanthropy has been a major focus. Through a packed week of
fundraising and fun known as Philanthrofest, we raised approximately
$3,600 to support an upcoming service trip to Lima, Peru. Events
included Poker Night, Cookie Bash, and the always popular Carnival
Night, which featured a dunk tank, popcorn machine, and whipped-
cream pie throws.
The week concluded with our Brother Pageant, where sororities bid
on brother representatives who performed skits ranging from magic
shows to dance routines. The entire week saw outstanding brother
participation and strong support from the Panhellenic community.
Our chapter also received several awards in recognition of leadership
and programming. Brother Riley Lohman '25 was honored by FSL
with the Cooperative Education Leader award for his efforts in
promoting career development within the chapter. Brother Jacob
Schulte '25 was also named SigEp Outstanding Senior, a well-
deserved recognition for his lasting impact and leadership. In
addition, the chapter earned from SigEp the National Excelsior Award
for Recruitment, the University Partner Award, the Membership
Development Award, and the Volunteer Engagement Excelsior Award.
On the academic front, we continued to improve our chapter GPA for
the third-consecutive semester. This spring, nine brothers earned a
perfect 4.0 and were recognized for their academic excellence and
commitment to the Balanced Man Ideal.
CAMPUS ACTIVITY
Ohio Theta brothers remained highly active. Several members
were tapped into honor societies and campus leadership groups,
including Sigma Sigma, Phi Rho Chi, and multiple others. Brothers
also contributed through their involvement in SAC and other student
organizations, representing SigEp proudly throughout the university
community.
BONDING AS BROTHERS
We came together through events like Queen of Hearts, Carlson
Leadership Academy, and Parents Weekend. We welcomed 29
members during our spring recruitment, adding a strong class
of men who are already contributing to the chapter's energy and
involvement. Each event brought new momentum and strengthened
our connections as a chapter.
As we look ahead, we're excited to continue building on this
momentum—both as brothers and as leaders in the community.
Fraternally,
Matthew Azzarello '26
Alumni Operations Director
Ohio Theta's 2025 executive board is joined by our 2025 Queen of
Hearts, Ellie Miller of Chi Omega. The group is celebrating Ellie's win
outside the SigEp house, proudly posing with the iconic Red Bull car.
Ohio Theta brothers represent the chapter at Carlson Leadership
Academy, where we took home the Membership Development Award.
This was a great opportunity for our executive board and rising leaders
to improve on what it means to be a SigEp.
