We were also recognized as a Green Chapter for our commitment to sustainability. We couldn't be prouder of our chapter's leaders and members whose dedication made these incredible achievements possible. The 2024 executive board has worked tirelessly to create meaningful change and innovative membership experiences that truly reflect the values of Alpha Chi Omega. We've successfully implemented a new organizational system for content and resources, launched new philanthropy events and welcomed our largest new member class yet. Additionally, we're committed to educating our members on diversity, equity and inclusion topics. We are excited to see how these changes help Alpha Nu continue to thrive and inspire future generations of Alpha Chi Omegas. Recruitment Recap We welcomed more than 100 members through formal recruitment in August, bringing our on-campus chapter total to 310. Overall, more than 1,500 potential new members participated in Panhellenic recruitment this year, with more than 75% of women finding a home in our vibrant community. Our bid day theme, Alpha Chi is in your playing cards, set the stage for a fun Las Vegas casino-style celebration complete with decorations of cards, dice and plenty of red to warmly welcome our new sisters home! Their spirit and passion have invigorated our chapter and inspired us to reach new heights. They were initiated in October. Academic Achievement Alpha Nu had an impressive academic semester this spring, achieving a chapter GPA of 3.55. Notably, 61% of members made the dean's list, with 42 earning 4.0. We are proud of their commitment to our core value of academic excellence. Philanthropic Events Emily Goben '22, vice president of philanthropy, and her committee have worked tirelessly this year to revamp our events, working to foster greater community involvement to benefit True North of Columbia. We kicked off the fall with the inaugural A Chi Open pickleball tournament. More than 50 teams of two participated in this new, fun competition and helped us raise more than $1,000. Next, we hosted Dash for DVA, enhancing the annual event with a 5K color run. Our members tossed purple colored powder onto runners representing our campus and the greater Columbia community. We wrapped up our fall philanthropy events with Burgers and Fries with the Alpha Chis, our late-night campus dinner. Additionally, 21 of our members completed rigorous training to become hands-on volunteers at True North of Columbia. This achievement reflects our commitment to making a meaningful impact in our local community, and we're proud of their dedication to supporting this cause. We are excited to have four sisters—Sara Corazzelli '22, Caroline Schultz '21, Jenna Hammer '24 and Morgan Hammer '21—on the Rockin' Against Multiple Sclerosis Steering Committee next spring. They are already hard at work planning events for this campus-favorite fundraiser. Homecoming Alpha Nu had fun participating in Mizzou's 113th Homecoming with the men of Theta Chi and Alpha Sigma Phi. The overall Homecoming theme was Iconic Movies, and Alpha Nu's was Disney's Cars. We placed second in banner, third in service, fourth in blood drive and fifth in campus decorations. We are so grateful to be able to be part of one of Mizzou's greatest traditions, which challenges us to step outside our comfort zones each year! We're incredibly proud of all we achieved this year, and we can't wait to share our future accomplishments with you! On behalf of Alpha Nu, thank you for your ongoing love and support. Be sure to check out our social media (listed on the back page) to stay connected! Remember, our home was your home first, and we warmly invite alumnae to visit us anytime.
