Seabury's Form Trips
Students Explore Around the Country
The sixth graders traveled to Power Play in Kansas City for three
hours of unlimited play and then returned to Lawrence to swim,
play games, and stay overnight at the Doubletree Hotel.
The seventh graders explored the Sedgwick County Zoo in Wichita,
stayed overnight at the amazing Cosmosphere in Hutchinson, and
finished their time in Strataca touring a salt mine.
The eighth graders drove south to visit the Great Plains
Nature Center near Wichita, then continued on to the
Gathering Place in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for kayaking,
playing, and exploring walking paths.
For the first year ever, freshmen went to explore Chicago! They
visited the Navy Pier on Lake Michigan, saw a show at the
Adler Planetarium, went to a Cubs game, toured the Chicago Art
Institute, and finished at the Shedd Aquarium!
Sophomores went north to Omaha, Nebraska, where they enjoyed
the Omaha Zoo and finally got their surprise from winning this year's
Homecoming Float Contest: The Amazing Pizza Machine,
with over 170 games, rides, and attractions to choose from.
Juniors stayed local and pitched tents and camped on
Mr. Nelson's property, completed games and the challenge of a
scavenger hunt in downtown Lawrence, and bonded
over a campfire. Next year, Florida awaits!
It's worth waiting for! Seniors took to the beaches of Anna Maria Island, a seven-mile-long barrier island on Florida's Gulf Coast. They snorkeled
and swam, found seashells, rode the golf cart, and treasured the last precious moments of their senior year together in this special place.
