On behalf of this year's auction chairman, Meagan Lohmeyer, and the auction committee, together with the students, faculty, and the entire community of Bishop Seabury Academy, thank you for helping to make this year's annual auction, Unite for Seabury! a huge success! Superheroes and villains alike showed up in capes, masks, and costumes on February 16 for a sold-out night of fun to show support for our school at another all-time high record of over $239,000! The auction committee truly outdid themselves with items, including four priceless pieces of art donated by Dorothy and John Gardner. The table centerpieces were a work of art with glowing globes surrounded by bright and beautiful floral arrangements by Seabury parent Jennifer Oldridge, of STEMS Event Flowers. The famous Wine Wall made its return with the bottles dressed out in capes and masks to protect their identity from generous buyers. Support for Fund-A-Need also came in at an all-time high of $119,250 to fund a double-sided, full-color EMC-display monument sign that will be located along Clinton Parkway. The highly visible sign will highlight Seabury activities and events as well as advertise to the greater Lawrence community. Fund-A-Need will also help to create more regional and national student leadership opportunities and will provide tuition assistance for qualifying families to attend Seabury.
