Downtown Forest City was captured in hundreds of photos by the town's unoffi cial photographer Pat Nanney. Some of the photos are shown here. Nanney said the Carolina Carriage Company, did an excellent job in showing people the multitude of lights from a horse- drawn carriage. Jim and Becky Carson took families across town in their hay wagon each weekend as weather permitted. Many from the town staff and volunteers helped to make the visit to Forest City memorable for thousands of people, "providing an opportunity to showcase much that the town has to offer to both local citizens as well as visitors from across the region," Nanney said. Thousands also visited the drive-through light show at TIEC. The show continues through January 1. Drive through the fan- favorite attraction as hundreds of thousands of lights dance to the tune of holiday classics on car radio; Tickets are available online or at the gate. Ice skating also continues at TIEC in ice skating rink at Tryon Stadium. Themed skates, live music and more will make each experience special. Tickets are available online and at the gate; Thursdays 3-8pm; Fridays 3-9pm; Saturdays 10am-9pm; Sundays noon-8pm. Article Provided By: Jean Gordon.
