Additionally, they must have at least three years of classroom teaching experience and currently be working full-time as a teacher. The winner will be rec- ognized at the Farm City Night awards banquet in the fall and will receive the Golden Apple Award and a $500 check. The winner is eligible to enter for consid- eration for the California Teacher of the Year. Angel Virrueta, Ante- lope State Preschool teacher, and Shelly Brown, Columbia State Preschool teacher, were chosen as 2009-2010 Teachers of the Year.
