Memorial Day Services Held In Red Bluf f Red Bluff and vicinity on Memorial Day yesterday paid tender tribute to the nation's dead, with services starting at 9 o'clock in Sacred Heart church, and continuing with a parade and appropriate exercises in Oak Hill cemetery. The parade was formed at Pine and Washington streets shortly after 10 a.m. — May 31, 1923 Supporting breast health Thanks to a $15,000 gift from the Safeway Foundation in February, Dignity Health North State was able to provide free breast screening services to more than 140 women in Tehama, Shasta and Siskiyou counties. The gift was the result of donations from Safeway's October Breast Cancer Awareness fundraising drive. Proceeds were used for women who had no health insurance, did not qualify for Every Woman Counts or had a high insurance deductible. The program covers the cost of a screening and diagnostic mammogram, breast ultrasound and, in some cases, breast MRI.
