About the Exhibit
Funded through a Project Support Grant from the Arts Council
of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, this exhibit showcases the
importance of this chapter in America's racial history. The Civil
War ended slavery, but it did not overcome the beliefs in racial
superiority. The exhibit explores Fayetteville's connections to this
violent event.
