Veterans Services Announces Scholarships
Museum Dedicates 'Fascinating Farm'
Cumberland County Veterans Services has announced 40 Cumberland
County Schools students who are recipients of two categories of
scholarships. Thirty-eight students were awarded for the North Carolina
Division of Veterans Affairs 2012 Competitive Scholarships. The
winners representing 16 schools in Cumberland County are Caleb
Covington, Alexis Spry, Dominique Brunson, Thalia Crumb, Jan-Quil
Jackson, April McCauley, Jalisa Gray, Kevin Wade, Taylor Edwards,
Emily McNair, Dara Buffaloe, Jada Linnen, Melissa McHugh, India
McLaurin, Andre Powell II, Brittany Strother, Allison Gunter, Allison

The shredding service is limited to personal use and is not available for
commercial entities, including home-based businesses.

Dr. Melinda Pash will visit
the Cliffdale Regional
Library June 4 at 7 p.m. for
a discussion of her new
book, "In the Shadow of
the Greatest Generation:
The Americans Who Fought
the Korean War" and the
Korean War.
Dr. Pash is a history
professor at Fayetteville
Technical Community College. The Korean War was fought from 19501953.
