So this week in The Buzz we will take a look at a few of the brand new artists coming onto the Contemporary Christian Music scene. Eddie Kirkland helps lead worship at a large church in Atlanta, Ga. He is also a gifted singer and songwriter. Recently he released, through his church's record label, his first project Kings & Queens. The second single from this CD "Brighter Days" is already playing on the radio. Find out more at his website, eddiekirklandmusic.com. Another church in Atlanta helped birth an all-brother band, OBB. Zach, 21, Jacob, 19 and Nich, 18, share a room, a home-school history and even an iTunes account. Luckily, the three siblings from Atlanta seem fairly agreeable. Lovers of all-things music, the brothers have been sharpening their musical abilities for as long as they can remember. After being encouraged by their grandmother to enter the CBS Early Show's Singing Family Face-Off in 2009, the talented Oswald Brothers Band placed third in the competition garnering national notoriety. Their worship leader, Chris Tomlin, has been mentoring them and they are ready to serve God with the music He has given them. Find them at obbmusic.com. Speaking of brother-oriented bands, Everfound is a pop-rock band based in Denver, Colo. The band consists of four Russian brothers, Ruslan, 24, Nikita, 23, Yan, 20 and Illarion, 18. They moved to Colorado in 1996 after their family fled from Russia. The band has stated that their passion for music is driven by their Christian faith. Everfound already has a hit on the radio — "Never Beyond Repair." Since their formation they have independently released three EPs and their full length debut album, Colorful Alibis and Scandalous Smiles. Learn more at everfoundmusic.com. A few other newcomers include: Raymond Gregory is very passionate about evangelism, which is no surprise as he leads worship at Greg Laurie's Harvest Church in southern California. He also has a fun song out now called "Parenthood". Love & The Outcome is a husband and wife team out of Canada who sold most of their wordly possessions to pursue their musical dreams. Recently signed to Word Records, their first single, "He Is with Us" is hitting radio stations now. Brandy Allison comes from tragedy to triumph. Brandy now sings songs about the one who delivered her from a destructive lifestyle. "Walkin' On Faith" is her first single and a new way of life. Shelly Moore hails from the Raleigh, N.C., area and released an independent project Unraveling just over a year ago. She is just now beginning to make some waves in the Christian music industry.
