To kick off 2019 we welcomed 40 young men into our brotherhood. In February, 12 brothers attended the annual Northern Division Conferences to grow as leaders in the fraternity. At the conference, we were awarded twice for being first on campus in grade-point average and exceeding the male and fraternity averages. Along with national recognition, Beta Zeta was recognized on campus in a multitude of categories. We took home the gold in outstanding campus leadership involvement. Nearly 30% of brothers are involved within leadership positions on campus. Also, we had three silver awards in scholarship, philanthropy, and new member education programming. TRIKE WEEK IN MOTION Beta Zeta takes serious pride in philanthropy events and raised over $34,000 in our annual Trike Week with all the proceeds going to Riley Children's Hospital. Beta Zeta members also take the time to give back to their community. Each brother is required to complete at least five hours of community service each year, while many brothers go above and beyond these expectations. As a chapter, our number of community service hours totaled around 600. UNDERGRADUATES LEADING AT BUTLER Beta Zeta was thrilled to have 12 brothers represented in the Butler Top 100 students and two of our brothers made the Top 15. One of our very own, Will Buchta '20, won the Greek Man of the Year Award. To win this award, the nominee must be a leader both in his chapter and on campus. He must reflect the values of what it means to be a Greek Man. We're proud to call Will our brother. I am proud of the accomplishments of our chapter, and we look forward to continuing the path of excellence.
