WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 30 Red Bluff Creative communication I remember when my sons were still living at home. The older they got, the harder it was to communicate because we all were going in different directions. I love this tip by Mary, posted on my blog at EverydayCheapskate.com. LIGHTEN UP! COMMUNICATE. Sometimes my family feels like ships crossing in the night. When we need to communicate and know we won't see each other, we write a note and clip it to the chain on our kitchen light/fan fixture. We keep a plastic clothespin on the chain. When you walk into the kitchen, you practically are hit in the head with the paper. It works very well, and we don't miss a beat! -- Mary, EC Blog GRANDCHILD'S COLLEGE TRAVEL ACCOUNT. My daughter is a student at an out-of-state college. Her grandparents opened a bank account with her as a "travel scholarship account." They started the account with $500 and deposit $100 each month into it. She uses this account to pay for flying home for the holidays and summer. It is definitely a blessing! -- A mom in Washington NEIGHBORHOOD REC LEAGUE.
