Many interviewees were encouraged by the women supporting the Minnesota Alpha Chapter House Corporation today. A 1970s alumna stated, "Our house corporation boards have been exceptional." Some women were unable to identify anyone they personally knew currently serving as a chapter volunteer and were unsure of the board's plans. One 1970s alumna said, "I cannot weigh in on the current board. I don't know what their vision is." By recruiting new volunteers that represent different eras and with the support of a consistent communication plan, more alumnae will have a connection to the work of the Minnesota Alpha Chapter House Corporation and feel confident in the future of Pi Beta Phi. Participants were then asked, "How could the alumnae leadership better serve the Minnesota Alpha membership?" Many cited outreach they receive from the national organization or local alumnae clubs, but participants feel Minnesota Alpha could do more to enhance communication efforts. "I need regular, predictable communication. It cannot all be Facebook. They need to get alums up to speed on the chapter and the legacy they now have a chance to continue." – 1950s alumna "Every once and while I get information, but it's not very consistent." – 1980s alumna "I obviously care so much about Pi Phi, but I feel like I'm not catching things." – 2000s alumna Other ideas on how to connect alumnae included pledge class reunions, opportunities to stop by the chapter house for a tour, alumnae gatherings in convenient locations, and utilizing email communication.
