Continuous cuts over the years from federal funding sources make contributions more important than ever before. Your contribu- tions make the difference each year in our operating budget and our ability to serve our older-adult community. Planned gifts are a meaningful way to show your interest and con- cern for the growing population of older adults in this community. A planned gift is one decided by you while you are alive to benefit the living after the death of the donor. The gift lives on, an enduring expression of love for our fellowman. Demonstrating your love and support may be done in several ways: •In the form of a Bequest: I give, devise, and bequeath to the Council on Aging/Senior Center, Inc. 100 T.R. Harris Dr., Shelby, NC 28150, the sum of $___________, (or describe per- sonal property to be used by the Council on Aging/Senior Center at their discretion.)" •Gift of Life Insurance: A gift of this nature may be made by designating the Council on Aging/Senior Center as con- tingent beneficiary, or by assigning ownership of an insurance pol- icy to the Council on Aging of Cleveland County/Senior Center, Inc. •In Honor or Memor y of Friends or Loved Ones: Cards are sent notifying family members of contributions, 9-13- 2017 to 1-31-18 Neal Senior Center Donations IN MEMORY Name In Memory Of Dale Cabaniss Frances Houser IN KIND DONATIONS DONATIONS IN GENERAL GOLD CLUB DONATIONS Marian Jeanne Bryan Theodore & Ruth Woolsey Deborah McIntyre Betty McIntyre Barbara Moore Shirley B. Are you in need of incontinent supplies? Here at the Council on Aging/Neal Senior Center we can help older adults in need of these supplies up to once a month. We have bed pads, bladder pads, and pull-ups all while supplies last. If you or someone you know could benefit from assistance with these items please give us a call at 704-482-3488 for more information. Are you 50 or older? Would you like to help a senior? We have many opportunities here at the Neal Senior Center and are in need of your help. The Council on Aging could not function without the help of all the volunteers. Although I know many of you still have to work, take care of family, and so forth, we need you! If you can volunteer one hour or more a week, please let me know. We are needing help with getting groceries for our food program, packing and delivering meals, managing the cash register in our cafeteria at lunch, managing our cafeteria beverage table at lunch, front desk reception, Monday night Bingo help (kitchen, floor sales, callers), handling sales in our consignment and gift shops, and so much more. If you are willing to help the seniors in Cleveland County, please call Lori Livingston @ (704) 482-3488 or e-mail me at lliv- ingston@agingcouncil.org. I would love to hear from you. All volunteers are welcome to the volunteer meeting on March 7, 2018 at 1:00pm. We will discuss upcoming events. Our annual Volunteer Appreciation is set for April 20, so please remember to sign-up at the front desk. 139 E.
