The meeting will be held Nov. 2nd at 10am at the Community Center. This review is to address the many issues that you as a Utility Customer may have. You can find the analysis on the Town of Quartzsite website at www.QuartzsiteAZ. org under the link 2017 Water/Wastewater Rate Analysis and Long-Term Financial Plan. This link is located on the home page of the website. "We hope to see you there. We are prepared to answer questions or find the answers that you have about this study," Quartzsite Town Manager Jim Ferguson said. The Arizona SunRiders will begin the season on November 10 with their first meeting at the QIA, beginning at 10AM. Any and all OHVers are welcome and encouraged to attend. There is go- ing to be a lot going on this season and if you are interested in being in- volved with the club, please join us. This season we will be doing mainte- nance on our assigned section of the Arizona Peace Trail, as well as other projects. Club rides will begin on Saturday, November 11, when we will ride to the Kofa. We will leave from behind the QIA at 9:30AM. To learn more about the projects and activities planned, be sure to join us the second Friday of each month at 10AM at the QIA. Arizona Sun Riders new season EMT training at AWC Arizona Western College (AWC) Public Safety Institute is seeking qualified applicants for the EMT Academy applications are available at the Parker and Quartzsite Learning Centers We are accepting applications until December 7, 2017. Class starts on January 11, 2018. Class times: Tuesday and Thursday 6pm to 10pm and Saturday 8am to 5pm. The class is one semester, 12 credits. Shaw, ADEQ Recycling Coordinator, Jennie Curé, ADEQ Brownfields Coordinator Wednesday, November 8, 2017 - 11:00am to 1:00pm Location: Town of Quartzsite Town Hall Chambers 465 N. Plymouth Ave. Quartzsite, AZ 85346 ADEQ is holding this public event to help attendees learn ways to improve their local environment. ADEQ staff will be on hand to discuss successful recycling programs such as food recovery, electronic waste and Brownsfields grant oppor- tunities. KAZB officials will discuss their statewide litter prevention and beautification programs including an overview of the Arizona Dept. of Transportation's Adopt a Highway Programs. Representatives of each agency will conduct a PowerPoint discussion during the two-hour event. Over the past four years, a public-private partnership called the Rural Environmental Outreach Program has been raising awareness across Arizona of resources available to help rural communities fight blight and solve waste-diversion challenges. As partners in this program, repre- sentatives from Keep Arizona Beautiful, the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality's (ADEQ) Recycling and Brownfields Assistance Programs, and the Arizona Department of Transportation's Adopt a Highway Volunteer Program have traveled to 30 cities in every corner of the state to provide informative overviews of resources, strategic plan- ning and project development assistance.
