4A – Daily News – Thursday, April 1, 2010 Pastimes Little Red Truck is coming to State Theatre The audition for Mis- soula Children's Theatre production of The Princess and the Pea will be held at 3:30 p.m. Mon- day, April 19, at the Vista Middle School gym on South Jackson Street in Red Bluff. There are roles for stu- dents kindergarten through 12th grade. Some 50-60 local students will be cast to appear in the show with the tour actor/director. There is no guarantee that everyone who audi- tions will be cast. Stu- dents wishing to audition must arrive by the sched- uled starting time and stay for the entire two- hour session. The first rehearsal begins about 15-30 minutes after the audition and will be at Vista School. This is a group audi- tion — no advance prepa- ration is necessary. Stu- dents should just be ready to come and have a good time. Rehearsals will be conducted 3:30-8 p.m., April 20-23 from at the State Theatre, 333 Oak St. in Red Bluff. Although not all cast members will be needed "The God of Hell" a Comedy by Sam Shepard will be presented Live at the Blue Room Theatre, 139 W. 1st Street, in Chico. Youth Symphony concert The Shasta College Youth Symphony will be giving its Spring Concert, "Concert de Printemps," at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday April 11, in the Shasta College Theatre. Directed by Dr. Richard Allen Fiske, this concert will feature Mozart’s Amadeus, Haydn’s Trauer Symphonie, Rossini’s Overture to the Barber of Seville and Mahler’s Adagietto from Symphony No. 5. Highlighting this concert will be student ensembles and solos, the string orchestra and a full youth orchestra, play- ing a student composition and being led by a student con- ductor.
