Services were held at Ross Grove Baptist Church, Shelby, NC, with Rev. Marcus McGill and Rev. Josh Hunt officiating with burial immediately following the service. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Richard Whitaker and Mamie Bell Wallace Whitaker born on June 1, 1929, in Cleveland County. She is also predeceased by her stepmother, Zula Allen Whitaker; sisters, Dora Mae Hendrick and Lorene Price; sister-in-law, Betty Howland; a nephew; brothers-in-law, A.D. Hendrick, Roy Price and Charles Raines Sr. Margaret leaves behind her loving husband of 68 years, Donald Weathers of the home; son, Jeffrey Weathers and daughter- in-law, Julie Weathers of Lawndale, NC; sister, Louise Raines of Shelby, NC, and six very special nieces and nephews. Margaret began her work at Hudson Hosiery and retired from Specialty Lighting. She was an active member at her church, Ross Grove Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School in the Children's Department for many years. She will truly be missed by her family and church family.
