3 Sigma Chi Leads on Campus and in the Community Eta Chapter Recruits 59 Men I would like to thank each of you for the support and kind words we have received from you over the past year. We always enjoy hearing from you and I personally have been very grateful for the outreach. As I am sure you all know by now, our chapter has been through a turbulent time as of late, but this semester, I have been incredibly proud of our men. We have newly elected senators in the Associated Student Body helping our ASB president, Austin Powell '17. We have executive members in the Interfraternity Council. Hack Smith '19 has been trained as a Rebels Against Sexual Assault peer educator. A group of sophomores has applied to attend the Pulse Leadership conference over winter break. Our men have stepped up and are going above and beyond to improve our chapter, our Greek community, and our school. The chapter is excited to welcome our new pledge class. Recruitment Chairmen Pittman Phillips '18, James Sexton '17, Kyle Armitage '18, and Collin Meagher '18 worked very hard to ensure that the incoming class would be a strong one. They wanted to build a class that would be composed of different temperaments, talents, and convictions. That goal is what allows our chapter to grow and change in positive ways. This new pledge class is a great group, and I cannot wait to see where they will go in their college careers and how they impact our fraternity. Lastly, as Jon mentioned in his article on page 1, we will be taking a spring pledge class this year. If you have any recommendations, it is important that we receive those as soon as possible so that we might be more able to follow up on them. Again, thank you all for your continued support of our chapter and our men. In Hoc Signo Vinces, Clay Wooley '17 Consul cmwooley@go.olemiss.edu New members and initiated brothers.
